Experience the delights of “Old France” in this leisurely cycling holiday in Burgundy as we explore two of the regions most picturesque and romantic waterways.

As ever with Skedaddle Cycling Holidays, we believe good food and comfortable accommodation help make the cycling holiday experience. Whether travelling to France by plane, driving or taking the train, a warm welcome will greet you at your first nights accommodation. You'll stay in carefully selected small 2 and 3 star hotels and guesthouses and may choose either the half board or B&B option and decide where to take your evening meal.

Your initial cycling takes you through rolling landscapes, sleepy villages and medieval half timbered homes as you follow the Canal de Bourgognes between Montbard and Joigny. Beyond here you pick up the route of Canal du Nvernais and visit Auxerre before cycling to Accolay, Clamency and ultimately Avallon before transfers back to Montbard.

Predominantly flat it is a cycling holiday suitable for families with younger children or those looking for a leisurely paced holiday.
