This cycling holiday in France combines the beautiful Provence landscapes with historical towns and cities and has a distinctly roman feel to it. Our cycling takes us from the town of Orange through St Laurent, past the famous aqueduct, Pont de Gard to Frigolet and to Avignon.
Plenty of time to savour wines from the famous vineyards we'll be cycling past, including Côte du Rhône and Les Beaux. We visit the romantic town of St Rémy, famous for its aromas of wild herbs. Van Gogh lived in St Rémy and along with the wonderful surrounding landscape in the shadow of the Alpilles you'll see what provided the inspiration for many of his paintings.
Cycling southwards towards the Mediterranean our cycling takes us through Arles, perched on the Rhone with its well preserved amphitheatre, past countless medieval and Roman monuments and through the protected region of the Camargue, home of the wild white horses and array exotic wildlife and a providing a memorable finale to your cycling holiday.
