‘Lochs and Glens’ is a fabulous seven day cycling holiday across the Scottish Highlands from South to North through the heart of magnificent mountain ranges and valleys. The route is part of the National Cycle Network and follows traffic-free paths and quiet roads, with some opportunities for off-road.
From Loch Lomond, our cycling route winds its way through the beautiful hills of the Trossachs, along the shores of tranquil Lochs, across open moorland, continues north alongside the awe-inspiring Grampian mountain range, through Aviemore and Strathspey to Inverness. Along the cycling route you will admire historic sites of battles and ancient castles. There are many opportunities to see wildlife including deer, eagles and osprey; and to visit a whiskey distillery.
Accommodation ranges from bed and breakfasts and small hotels to good quality hostels allowing you to experience the customs and culture of Scotland. Visits to the local pubs for the odd ‘wee dram’ of Highland malt will warm your heart ready for the next day’s ride.
