Slovenia - Alps to Adriatic - Self Guided - Cycling Holiday

Go at your own pace on our self guided cycling holiday to Slovenia and immerse yourself in the beauty of ever impressive Slovenia during a week of superb place to place cycling.

Following flight arrivals in Ljubljana, our cycling holiday begins from the charming town of Skofja Loka before heading to Bohinj Lake where we stay for the evening. From here we continue our way around Triglav National Park, through the heart of the Julian Alps to the famed ski resort of Kranjska Gora.

The next day is one of the most strenuous of the trip, as we cycle one of the most beautiful mountain passes in Europe - the Vsric Pass. At the top of this 1611 metre pass we are rewarding with not only stunning views, but a superb 15km descent to Bovec in the beautiful Soca Valley below.

From Bovec, we continue to the Solkan, before reaching Karst plateau above the Adriatic Sea, where we visit the tiny village of Stanjel. Our final day of cycling holiday leads us to the Adriatic Sea where we finish our cycling at the town of Piran, before returning to Ljubljana that evening.

With flights departing late afternoon our final morning is spent at leisure exploring Ljubljana, or for those who wish to extend their stay in Slovenia and spend a little more time in this lovely city, this can easily be arranged.
