Based in the southwest corner of Wales the Celtic Trail cycling holiday is a mostly traffic free route which follows a wonderfully diverse 175 mile course. Starting in Carmarthen our cycling holiday follows towpaths, disused railways and quiet country roads in a clockwise direction returning to the bustling market town of Carmarthen once again.
Not only is the cycling wonderful with the combination of pretty coastal villages, open countryside, golden sand beaches and craggy coastline through Pembrokeshire, Tenby and Carmarthen Bay, but also the area is bursting with historical interest. Through this beautiful cycling holiday you will discover the spectacular historic castles as well as visit the birthplace of the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Time is also set aside to enjoy the smallest city in Britain, St. Davids.
Accommodation is in well-appointed bed and breakfasts, inns or small family-run hotels. Breakfasts are provided and evening meals can be taken in restaurants or pubs close to the accommodation.
If you’re looking for a cycling holiday on quiet roads, traffic free paths and National Cycle Network routes - then the Celtic Trail holiday cycling is for you!
